California-native Irene Neuwirth first unveiled her line of cool, colorful and bold jewelry in 2003 – a move that at the time helped redefine the world of fashion fine jewelry. Her designs feature raw, unmanufactured stones such as opals, chrysophase, labradite and tourmalines in striking combinations of size and hue. Initially launching with Barneys New York, she is now sold at over 15 retailers and her store on Melrose Place in Los Angeles, where she is based. She received the Swarovski Award for Accessory Design in 2014. This year marks her third nomination for CFDA Accessory Designer of the Year.
